Well, I heard the latest news about INXS, and apparently the Killers are helping them record their latest album. That's pretty darn cool!!! The new album is going to be a tribute to Michael. What I heard is they are going to be doing a bunch of songs from their back catalogue with the Killers. I can't wait to hear it!! I bet it's going to be awesome!!
I am still loyal to these guys. Always will be. Call me crazy if you want to, but I will always love Tim, Jon, Andrew, Garry and yes, even JD. I haven't forgotten about him. I'm just saddened by the fact that there seems to be no reconciliation on the battle between INXS and JD. But it's their business I guess. I'm just a mere fan, I cannot tell them what to do or what to think. I can only speak from a mere fan's point of view.

In other news, Married With Children was taken off the Spike channel!! So is this how that channel works? They play a series until it runs out of episodes then take it off and put that darned CSI show on instead?? That really SUCKS!!!! That series is beginning to get on my f***ing nerves!!!! That channel put that show on when they cut out Unsolved Mysteries, and they are playing that now instead of Married With Children!! Makes me so MAD!!! What is with the people who run that station?? They must have a fetish for CSI or something!! But I hate it! It SUCKS!!!!! And it pisses me off even more now that I can no longer watch Unsolved Mysteries and Married With Children! My ma used to ask "Why do they always take off the good shows and put on the shitty ones?" Such a question applies here as well!!

I take that to mean that Brandon Flowers has recorded a new version of Beautiful Girls. I suspect the band will be getting different high profile singers to sing remakes of their biggest hits, not just working with the Killers.
It would appear the band is no longer interested in creating new material which is sad.
I heard about that too, but I haven't seen anything to support that. It is sad that this next album won't have any new stuff. I was kinda hoping to hear something new too. But I guess they just don't want to release anything different.
Well it makes sense to use different singers and Chris Murphy and Andrew Farriss alluded to that when they said they were lots of great singers out there, which was to a degree a slap in the face to JD but the reality is the album will sell much better if they have a different guest singer for each song and historically that is what tribute albums are, Michael Hutchence did one song for an Elvis Presley tribute album as a matter of fact and he was just one of many artists that participated on the album and a special show in Nashville showcasing those covers.
This way you not only get the INXS fans buying the album but many of the fans of the guest singers will buy the album too. I suspect there are INXS fans that bought the Elvis Presley tribute album JUST for Michael's contribution, bwah. Because we fans do stuff like that.
That would be awesome if that's what this is all about. Some fans are saying though that INXS needs a slap in the face. I am glad you brought up that Andrew and Chris Murphy talked about other good singers out there. I'd actually forgotten that. Now, it's making plenty of sense.
Either way, I'm still buying the album and supporting these guys. :)
After reading some comments from Timgal and others, I would think making a NEW album would be the go with NEW songs. But apparently not. So now INXS are going to re-hash what they already have with different singers. I just hope it works for them. They are really sticking their necks out doing that type of thing. Like others before me, I too, will buy their new album what ever it is. I must also make a comment here too that I will be buying JD Fortune's album when it comes out also. Some of his stuff I've heard from the My Space page is quite good. OK. So Good Luck to both parties. LSW.
Shoot! I was supposed to respond to this last comment and haven't yet! Anyway, that's cool that you will still support the band. A lot of other fans have given up. While I do feel that is their choice to make and I don't hold it against anyone, I will also continue to go with INXS. Nothing can tear me away! :)
Some months later, I still don't like the Killers. I still think Brandon Flowers is too young to work with INXS, but Killers or not, I will still buy this album, and still enjoy it to it's fullest!! :)
