Part 3 Scammers!!

I got another message today from someone else interested in the computer I have for sale. But today, I got the jump on this one! The person asked first if I still had the computer for sale and how well it works, and asked me why I am getting rid of it. She also asked me to send her pics. I said I could do that if she is still interested, and yes the computer is still for sale. A few minutes later, she wrote me back about the computer. It was in this letter that she revealed to me again that she is a scammer. She showed all the classic signs of being a part of this PayPal scam. This was the letter she sent me:

Thanks for your reply and am glad to know that it is still available

for sale. However i have few questions on the item you are selling.
1,I would like to know the reason why you are selling it?
2,What is your firm price though am okay with the listing price ?
3,Do you have the original box with the accessories?
4,Do you mind if i pay you through paypal though i would be willing to
add an extra dollars to cover the shipping because am not local at the
moment i am out of town on a rig offshore and i would like to purchase
this item as a gift for someone very special to me at overseas.
If you do not have a PayPal account, you can do so by going to
www.PayPal.com and set up your account it is free, easy and guarantees
transaction safety.Once you send me your
paypal email account, I will send you the payment for your item as
well as US $120 to cover shipping via USPS Registered Mail.
I would be glad if my request is favorably considered.
Thanks

When I got this e-mail, I said to myself, "Ohhhh BROTHER!!! Here we go again!" This is the third scammer that has contacted me about this darned computer! Well, now that I have had a little more experience, I decided to get the jump on this person. I am getting very sick and tired of these damn spammers! Some of the things that identify this person as a scammer are these lines:

"I will send you the payment for your item as well as US $120 to cover shipping via USPS Registered Mail."

"am not local at the moment i am out of town"

Yeah, sure she's not local. She's probably also from Nigeria! Well, I am sick of this. So, this is what I wrote to her:

Hi. Thanks for your reply. Yes, the computer is still available. I am selling it because I am upgrading, and I'm getting a new desktop. The price is not firm, I will entertain offers. I do have the original packaging and all accessories. If you want it, I can give it to you in that. I don't mind PayPal, but you absolutely MUST pay me through PayPal's official site. So far, I have gotten 2 other people from Nigeria, ask me to ship this computer to them, claiming they put money in my account via PayPal. But on closer examination of the supposed e-mails from PayPal, they were discovered to be fraudulent e-mails. Thankfully I know what to look for, and I will NOT in any way, shape or form send this computer to you, unless I actually SEE the money in my PayPal account, which I will check once I get the supposed e-mail. NO EXCEPTIONS! And NO EXCUSES. And I know how to identify spammers right away. If you are truly willing to go ahead with this transaction, you can send the money to XXXXXX@XXXXXXXXXXX.com. Once I get that confirmation, and I see the actual money in my PayPal account, I will send your computer tomorrow. Thank you.
DDR
PS, I know all about the PayPal escrow scam, so please don't try to pull that one on me. :)

Yes, that was the e-mail I sent back to her! LOL! When I sent that e-mail, I did not expect to hear back from her at all! And I didn't. I know for sure she was trying to steal my computer, just like the last two did. But just like the last 2 individual scammers, she was not about to get this computer at all until I actually saw that money in my PayPal account. Don't these dipshits know that an intelligent individual is actually going to check their paypal account and see that the money is not there???? Of course they could also say what the last person said, thinking they could get away with it on a technicality by saying the money is in escrow. Not everyone would think to call PayPal and ask if there even is such a thing as escrow, which is why I am writing about this in this blog. Hopefully people who read this will learn from my experience. I'm a very jaded person! I trust NO ONE! And I pick up on things right away. Which is why I didn't really believe that first scammer when she said the money is in escrow. Though the e-mails did look official, if you know what to look for, you can avoid losing your items you are trying to sell.

Well, this time, I took off the old ad, and decided to edit it with a new ending. This is what my new ad reads on Craigslist:

I have a Toshiba Satellite laptop available for sale. It is a model P305D, with 4 Gigs of RAM. The screen is 15 inches wide, and in 64-bit HD. 250 GB memory. DVD drive (not a recordable). Built in webcam and microphone, and Wi-Fi. Comes with bonus software MS Office Professional 2007 installed. Ideal for students!! Asking $400, but will accept offers! Serious Inquiries ONLY please! Scammers are immediately identified and will not be considered. If you are a scammer, you should know that I didn't just fall off the turnip truck yesterday!! I will not ship to Nigeria, and I will not accept PayPal. I will only accept cash.

This stops the scammers before they start. I hope! So far though I have gotten a couple of responses. Let's see how well it goes.

Part 2 Of The PayPal Scam

LOL! You won't believe this! I recieved retaliation from the dude who tried to scam me yesterday. I knew there was going to be some kind of retribution because I told the guy in an e-mail yesterday that the e-mail I got was a scam, because I called PayPal and they said they don't do escrow. I almost expect it every time I call someone out on a scam! LOL! Well, today they were trying to scare me. A weaker person might have submitted. But I am not a weak person! They cannot intimidate me by idol threats of false arrest! Because I know even if I were to be arrested (which I know I am not going to be), I have proof they are scammers trying to steal my computer!

Well, this was the message I got from them this morning:

Thank you for Using PayPal,

The PayPal Team

Notice all the grammatical and spelling errors in this email. I highlighted them in blue. Even if this were coming from another branch of any company in an affiliated foreign country, the grammar and spelling would still be better. This note is, to say the least, unprofessional at best. I actually laughed when I saw it! It's more like a joke than a threat! I'd like to see them try and arrest me. I have proof this computer is mine. I still have the sales receipt I got when I bought this machine. And I can provide proof that no money was ever left in my PayPal account. Plus, I have the name of the guy I spoke to who told me all this was a scam, and that PayPal was aware of these people. So, I sent them this e-mail in response:

Go for it!! Sue me. Arrest me. I called PayPal (the official site) and they told me you all were the scammers. I checked my account, and there is no money in there. No money, no laptop. Simple as that.
DDR
PS, BTW, I already blacklisted you on my blog. Check it out! http://www.timmyfan.com/2011/02/paypal-scam-warning.html

Yes, I sent them the link to this blog. I always do if I am talking about someone. LOL! I want them to read it, and if they have something to say, say it! More than likely though they won't say anything. But I wanted everyone to know there are scammers like this out there. Let them try and accuse me of fraud. Let them get me arrested. I'd love to see them try it. And if they do, I have plenty in my defense! I'd get sprung almost immediately, and the ringleader to this scam would wind up being the one getting arrested.

Seriously, if these dumbasses are going to try and fraud anybody, they should choose a person who is a lot less experienced with PayPal, and a lot stupider than they are! LOL!

PayPal Scam Warning!

OK, so I am peacefully trying to sell this computer over Craigslist. I tried in my local CL section and got almost zero results. It was disappointing! So I decided to try another area. I tried the Tacoma-Seattle area of Craigslist. I got almost immediate results! I got several inquiries about this computer. I was asking for $400 for this computer, but figured some people may instead offer me $300, which is what usually happens. I expected it. So I entertained offers. Well, this morning I woke up to about 4 messages in my inbox all inquiring about this computer. I answered all of them. Only 2 have written me back, and they wanted to have the computer shipped to them. Well, Craigslist advises against that, but I played along anyway. They both offered me the full price, PLUS an extra $150 for shipping. Sounded reasonable, but I told them I would have to have the money today. As soon as I got that money, I would ship the computer to them.

Well, one of them sent me the money, through their PayPal account. This is why I absolutely HATE dealing with Craigslist!!! So many people taking advantage of one another. The e-mail that was sent had PayPal's official logo. This was what I got:

As you can see, the top of the page looks official, but the body of the letter has too many spaces where there should not be any. Another thing that caught my attention was this guy's address. When I scrolled a lot farther down the page, I saw this:

Notice his address is located in Ife, Osun in Nigeria, and his name is very different than the name he has on his PayPal. Well, I looked up the address, and sure enough it is a verifiable address. But what gets me is the guy lives in Nigeria, and he could not meet me (actually he would have met my ma), but said he was buying this computer for his son who is overseas. OK, I like to give everyone the benefit of the doubt, but I was still iffy on this Nigerian transaction. Something about it felt wrong to me. Then almost immediately after getting this e-mail, I got another one, which also looked official, but said something very different than what I had seen PayPal send:

Again, it looks official with the logo on top of the page, but take a close look at this line:

It said that this person has transferred money to my account, but that it is being held in ESCROW. I didn't know PayPal had ESCROW services! But it said that I will get my money when I provide them with a tracking number that I am supposed to get when I send this computer off. Well, something smelled fishy, and I still sensed something was not right. So, I e-mailed the guy again and told him that I got this message, but that I cannot send him anything until I at least got the money for the packaging and shipping. He kept on demanding that I send the item NOW!!! I told him he will just have to wait. I also told him that I would like to contact PayPal and ask them about this ESCROW service because I never heard of that service before! And it doesn't sound like something PayPal would offer. I didn't hear from him after that. I looked all over PayPal's website and saw nothing about escrow services. I even looked in their Merchant services section and got nothing. So, I called PayPal.

The man I spoke to said that PayPal does NOT have escrow service, that it is nothing but a money exchanging site. I looked closer at the e-mail, and there was something funny. I looked at the e-mail address at the top. This is an official e-mail from PayPal:

That is their OFFICIAL e-mail. Here is what is on the fraudulent e-mail:

Notice there is a difference. You can barely notice it, but there is a period after paypal.com that does not belong there! It just goes to show that you should check the address carefully. Well, when I contacted PayPal, they said they know all about this kind of transaction, and that it is a scam. So please, if you get an email from someone from out of the country, and it's not on ebay, be careful!! Shoot! Even on ebay you have to be careful, look at the ratings from the people who purchase from you. Good buyers will have good feedback. I've got 100% perfect feedback, which means I may be purchasing from out of the country (as I often buy from the UK), but I am a good buyer! I've never scammed anyone.

Well, I e-mailed this guy back and told him that I contacted PayPal, and they told me the e-mail was a scam. So I told him if he would like to send me the money from the official PayPal site, I will be glad to send him the computer. But I warned him that PayPal does not have escrow services. Believe me, I do not expect to hear from him again any time soon!

And remember when CrystalK said on my old MySpace blog that I am so easily misled? LOL! Well, I can seem that way, on the internet. Because I often like to give everyone the benefit of the doubt. Unless I know better. For example, I didn't buy for one second that Mcgillicutty was a 50-something year old man! A teenage boy I would have had an easier time believing, but definitely NOT a 50-something year old man! Men in their 50s generally do not do the things Mcgillcutty did. I've seen 50-odd year old men at their worst, and Mcgillicutty did NOT in any way fit the description. So I knew better than that. CrystalK always wants everyone to think the worst about me because I don't like her. LOL! Which is fine by me! No one decent or intelligent is going to believe her anyway, because she has never met me. And it's her own fault I don't like her, anyway! She should stop acting like such an ass-hat and get rid of her double-standards. I mean, I don't mind people speaking their minds like she does. But she doesn't like to give anyone else the right to do so without her jumping down their throats and cussing them out. That is why I don't like her! I never do that myself! I speak my mind and I like to have others tell me what they are thinking. That is the whole point of having something called 'a discussion'.

INXS Fans Getting A Bit Bullshitty

OK, it finally got to me this morning. LOL! It started this morning when one of my friends was dropped by one of her friends because she does not like JD. I hear stories like that and it makes me wonder what the heck has become of INXS fans?? Why does everyone have to be so damned judgmental? I mean, I have been shit on because I am an INXS fan who mostly (if not entirely) prefers Timmy. And he is still in the band. I realize this is Facebook, and people have a right to be friends with whomever they want! That does not bother me. What bothers me is people who shit on those people they wanted to be friends with in the first place, because that individual does not like the same band members of INXS that they do! It's such a waste! And it's a sad commentary to what INXS fans today have become. Very sad! In fact, sad isn't even a strong enough word to describe how sad that is! It's downright shitty! I have even been shit on because I can't stand Jon Stevens! The whole concept is just pointless to me! I have friends who like Jon Stevens, and I understand where they are coming from. It's their life, it's their choice! All I ask is that these friends understand that I do NOT like Jon Stevens!!

I don't shit on anyone. I try to get along with everyone. If I don't like someone, it's for a damnsite better reason than their choice of favorite INXS band members! In fact, there are even Timmy fans out there that I don't care for. It's rare, but it happens. For the most part though, I try to get along with everyone as much as I can. Those that I do like, I would give them the World if I could! Ask anyone. LOL! It used to be that INXS fans were so easy to talk to and get along with so well. I remember the days when I used to get in the chatrooms, and I would chat with other INXS fans sometimes until well into the night. They were that much fun! But nowadays, INXS fans have become what U2 fans have always been! As one of my friends have put it, they've become tribal. It's sad! But then, looking back to the good ol' days is always deficient. It's not sad in a way that I'd be crying. It's sad more in a way I am just sitting here, shaking my head. Or slamming my forehead with my hand, thinking "stupid people"! LOL! U2 fans used to be the worst! I hated them! Probably why I never became a full-fledged U2 fan in the first place! Their attitude has always been if you don't worship the ground the band walks on, or if you like any other band more than U2, you're lower than dirt! I like U2. They are a good band. Not the best, but good anyway. But I don't effing LOVE them, and I don't prefer them over INXS. That's never going to happen! Bono is just not as good looking as Timmy is. In fact, compared to Timmy, Bono is downright HOMELY!!

Well, it just makes me angry when someone disses a perfectly good person, like this friend of mine, just because she prefers INXS with Michael and doesn't like JD. I like JD, he's good in his own way. But I have to agree he will never be Michael. Michael on the other hand, is dead. He can't come back and front the band anymore. Yet, I still love the band! I love them because of Timmy. I accepted JD with open arms. I'm having a hard time accepting this new album of INXS's, but I love the originals they have done so far. I commend those that have never preferred one over the other in this debate. It's hard to do when you are so used to seeing INXS with no one fronting but Michael. Or if you only just became a fan after JD took over and cannot see anyone else, not even Michael, fronting INXS. But those people who do shit on other fans over this debate, not just about Michael vs. JD. It's about which fans prefer which band members and it makes me SICK!! I have to wonder if INXS is all that runs through their veins. Why does this even have to be an issue? I asked don't these people have more mature things they can disagree on? After a while, it gets bullshitty hearing (or even sensing) that everyone thinks so-n-so sucks because they don't like JD, or whathaveyou! The fact is, I've never seen this kind of attitude until Jon Stevens took over INXS. I must admit I love INXS more now that Jon Stevens has been 86'd! LOL! Good GOD I hate that man! But I don't mind his fans. In my case it's hate the man, not the fans. LOL! Leastwise those that are not so damned judgmental!!

JD Fans And Timmy Fans

Recently I joined this group on Facebook called Groupettes. Anyone who had been reading this blog for any length of time knows that I am a hardcore Timmy fan. I was invited to join this group that celebrates INXS fans in general. Since I love INXS, I joined. And I think the creator of the group is a cool person besides. :) I like her a lot. But this morning, I began to wonder if I was the only person in there that is a Timmy fan. I began to get the feeling that I was once again surrounded by hardcore JD Fortune fans. I have nothing at all against JD Fortune, I think he's a great singer, and I liked meeting him, he's a nice guy. But even knowing all that, I am still not a HUGE fan of JD's. I've been in situations like that before, where everyone around me were all hardcore JD fans and I was alone among hardcore Timmy fans. Case in point, back in 2006 I joined the Hardstar INXS forum. It wasn't until after I joined that dumbass forum that I found out I was the only Timmy fan in there. Everyone else was a JD fan! That sucked! Because I can remember there were some people bashing me and my interest in Timmy. That was what made me decide to leave. They bashed at me, so I bashed right back.

Don't get me wrong, I like JD. But I LOVE Timmy! In my eyes, JD isn't even a fraction as handsome as Timmy is. But these people kept trying to convince me that Timmy wasn't as good looking as JD. I can't agree with that! My interest in JD is strictly professional. That is, I only like his singing. I have friends who absolutely HATE JD! They hate JD almost as much as I hate Jon Stevens. But hey! I'm good with that. They are individuals and they have a right to like who they want. As does everyone else in this group. But I was almost ready to leave because I thought I was once again the only Timmy fan in there. I didn't want to go through the experience I had in the Hardstar forum again. I should not have to defend myself to anyone. Of course I know I don't have to anyway! I don't have to explain myself to no one! And now that I know better, I don't. Unless they are well-established friends. Most of the people I don't give a shit about, I have them on ignore. Don't worry, I don't believe they care anyway. So move on! hehe!

Well, it was nice to hear there actually were other Timmy fans in there. That was real good! I cannot fit in in a forum that only has hardcore JD fans. No matter how hard I try. And believe me, I did try hard! That's probably the one thing I hate most about most JD fans. They seem to not be able to accept that other people cannot see everything the way they do. There are a few JD fans I have a great deal of respect for, one of them being my little sis, Katrina. But definitely none of those that thinks just because I am not a hardcore JD fan that I am not a real INXS fan. I think I like JD about as much as I like Michael. I still like him, but not as much as I like Timmy. Face it. Timmy is all I have on my mind when I think of INXS. He's all I see. Well, I also like Jon and Andrew. Heck! I like all the guys! But in different ways. But my love for Timmy is dominating. Even though I am pretty sure he doesn't like me. LOL! Here we go again! I mean, does it really matter if he doesn't? Naaaah!! But even if he said it to my face, I'd probably still like him a lot. LOL!

Now, when I say I like him, I don't mean that I want to steal him away from his wife and kids and marry him for myself! No-no-no! I like Timmy, but not that much!! Anyone who thinks otherwise doesn't know the real me, and has a sub-humanian lack of intelligence! I would never sacrifice my freedom, not even for Timmy.

Speaking of which, I no longer have a boyfriend! I knew it was a mistake to tell him that I was moving to Montana! Well, I found out he's been secretly seeing another woman behind my back! I'm not mad at her, I am mad at him! He didn't even tell her that he was seeing me. When I confronted him about it, his only response was "Well, you're moving to Montana anyway." I called him a dumbass and walked away. If he thinks I am going to give him another chance, he's going to be in for a big disappointment!! I don't think I want another boyfriend either. I've had it! I don't know what I am trying to prove anyway! I don't want to get married, and I don't want kids either. So really, what's the point anymore in having a boyfriend? Well, one consolation is that my family stated they never liked him anyway.

The Removal of Free Speech

I rarely now go into the pet forums on Craigslist, mostly because I notice a lot of the topics I have posted on get deleted. This morning I read a topic about someone who occasionally posts on that forum, the people on there were chewing him up to pieces! Which really is such typical behavior on pet forums. The guy made a joke he thought was harmless. The joke was about his pit bull killing a pet prairie dog, but it was intended to be a gag. However,  no one else thought it was funny. Apparently, this same guy who made the joke had been on other forums, made bad jokes, was generally abusive to everyone, and often went into the forums in a drunken state. Hmm, kinda reminds me of someone I used to know from the Pluba forums! LOL! She was abusive when she didn't get her way, she was often not very funny, and I would swear she would go into the forums drunk sometimes! Yet, others in there excused her because they were her friends, and being drunk was excusable because alcoholism is an illness. (cough)

I may be not so funny to some, but offhand, I can only remember being banned from one forum, and that forum didn't count! It was the delusional mods forum, and I wanted to be banned from there! I intentionally spammed their forum because I knew it would get me banned. I didn't ever want to go back there, and I did not want people thinking I enjoyed it in there. Ya know the funny thing is, I tried looking for that forum again, and it's not there. There is a delusional fans website, but it centers around sports fans, not INXS, U2 or Depeche Mode fans like the one run by Catsredrum and Netrage did. That's kinda funny! Because ol' Netrage told me that he would never take that forum down. Guess I won the battle there. Well! It served them right! They should never have messed with me! They could mess with a lot of people on the internet, but not me. Because I'll take their shit and throw it right back in their faces if I have to! When I tell someone to back off, they'd better do it. I can be polite the first couple of times, but after that, I can begin to get nasty. The final straw was them trying to accuse me of killing my Groucho. They didn't say it in those exact words, but they did say it in a round-about kind of way, and the message was received loud and clear! That pissed me off, and that was when I said "this has got to stop!" and began my fight against the delusional fans forum! They were damn lucky they were not standing in the same room with me and saying that. They would have been on their asses.

Anyway, I think I bring up some very good points, and it is proven when people neg the crap out of my posts! LOL! The negs to me are a badge of honor. They tell me I am doing my job. The other day, someone posted on the forum looking for doberman pups. Another poster made a comment, something to the effect of that no responsible breeder would touch the OP with a 12-foot pole. I saw that as a great opening, because I feel that is the problem with the so-called responsible breeders. I said "It is exactly that attitude that will always keep the BYBs in business. Because if a person is desperate enough, and wants a breed bad enough, they will go to any lengths to get it." And it's true! And you really cannot blame them! I'm shocked that no one argued my point there. Surely the responsible breeders should have said something in response to that! Sure, they could argue the OP could get the breed they want from a rescue, but where do most rescues come from? 9 times out of 10, they come from the BYBs. It's a vicious cycle. Instead of reputable breeders refusing to sell someone a puppy of the breed they want, try educating them on the breed. Let them know the good and bad points of a breed. Then have the buyer sign a contract (made legally), and sign in front of a notary, that way the client HAS to abide by the rules in the contract. That is the best way.

Well, instead of responses, people began negging my post. I said to them "Neg me all you want, but I speak the truth!" ("Negging", BTW, is short for giving someone negative points. The posts on that forum are often rated by other posters). Well, the next day I noticed that post was gone. Why it was gone, I have no idea. I'm beginning to think anyone who speaks the absolute, honest-to-goodness truth gets their posts deleted because these people don't really care to hear the truth. I speak from experience. I haven't had a problem with having reputable breeders not selling to me, as most people who meet me in person, actually like me. Even though I bad-mouth show breeders. I'm a much different individual in life than I am on my blogs here. Or even on forums. But anyway, I haven't had a problem but I have known people who did. And usually for some silly reason. Like the one friend I had who wanted to buy a kitten, and the breeder would not sell to her because she didn't have a fenced yard. There had to have been some other reason that the breeder didn't tell her! There always is! Like the breeder didn't like the color of this person's shirt or something! I don't know. But the real reason could not have had anything to do with the fact this friend lived in an apartment and didn't have a fenced yard! Because that would have been a dumb reason not to sell someone a kitten! A dog, I could understand! But a cat?? No! Because here's a newsflash: Cats can CLIMB! They can jump. Even with a 7-foot tall wooden fence all around our yard when we lived in Lakewood, our cat still got out of the fence! Nothing could stop him! He'd find a way out.

Well, how about those videos of animals that hate Justin Beiber? That's the weirdest damn thing I ever saw! I'll tell you, if animals don't like you, there's something wrong with you! Animals can sense things that humans cannot. If they sense there is something bad or evil about someone, then there is really something bad! I wonder what it is with Justin Beiber? Only time will really tell. I get along great with animals. I've even been able to approach animals that no one else has ever been able to approach! I remember when I had a job with the census group. One of the homes I had to stop at the man had a big rottweiler. This rottweiler was a trained guard dog. While I usually do not touch these dogs without getting to know them first, this dog actually seemed to like me, which got me funny looks from the owner because he said his dog normally does not like strangers. Once he told me that, I was amazed! The dog wasn't jumping on me or anything, but he would nudge my hand with his nose and wag his tail. He still kept an aire of suspicion about me though, but at the same time, seemed to like me. That wasn't the only time that happened either. To me, it's just the most rememberable because it was a rottweiler that didn't know me at all, and had been trained for guarding the house and family. Those dogs are usually very aggressive.

I love animals, I always have. I still do. I'm more cautious around animals but I still love them. I can't think of a time I didn't have a pet, but I can remember a lot of times I had to fight to keep what I did have! Because my parents did not like pets. My ma still doesn't, but she tolerates the dogs, only because living here with me, she has no choice.

Anyway, I hate being in places where my basic rights of free speech is taken away. That is why I love these blogs! I can live without getting in forums, but I cannot live without my blogs! Blogging is fun! They are my release. It is because of what I write in these blogs that I am able to remain calm in my every day life. Writing for me is a kind of relief of my innermost feelings. So, you can understand why I don't like being in places that take away my rights to say what I feel. People may not like what I say on here, but that's OK. I'm not asking for their acceptance. The only people who matter to me are my friends and family. The people I love most are those who can read these blogs, and still know that deep inside, I am a great person. That's why I say I have the most awesome friends on the planet! I brag a lot about my Facebook friends. LOL! But it's true! They are the most awesome people on the planet! Well! One person is questionable, but for the most part, they are awesome.

What Is It With Pets and Justin Beiber?

This is crazy! Pets around the world HATE Justin Beiber! It's the strangest thing I ever saw in my life! I don't know why. I kinda joked around that Beiber must be the antichrist! But he looks so nice and friendly. But pets around the World hate him! They say animals are good judges of character. I know his music sucks shit, but I didn't think animals could get so angry at music or photos in magazines. But tonight alone, I saw like 10 videos of animals that had a wild, negative response to seeing, or hearing, Justin Beiber! I will show you a few of these videos. And believe me, I don't believe these were staged! There are some that I think have been, but not these videos! These are the most explanatory videos on this subject. Take a look at these from beginning to end:

Check out this pomeranian's immediate response once the Beiber song plays:

And most amazing of all, check out this cat's response:

I say this last one was amazing, because the cat was shown a picture of Nick Jonas and didn't care, but when the page was turned back to Justin Beiber, the cat hissed and slapped the magazine. There is something about Justin Beiber that animals don't like! It kinda makes me wonder, if Beiber has pets of his own and they also hate him?

Animal Hoarders

What would you do? I was watching Animal Hoarders on Animal Planet last night. The new episode looked at a woman who kept buying birds, mostly hookbills, and keeping them in her home in large cages. When she was asked to surrender some of the birds, she surrendered the only set of finches she had, which I thought that sure was dumb of her!! I'd have kept the finches! Get rid of the damn parrots! I have nothing personal against parrots, as long as they live with someone else, and I don't have to touch them. They are indeed pretty birds, and I am not saying there aren't some friendly hookbills out there, but I don't trust them! I mean, this woman's house was FULL of big hookbills! If she would have kept the finches and got rid of the big hookbills, she would have served the purpose of the therapy she was receiving.

Parrots bite, and bite HARD!! Their bills are designed to break open very hard nut shells with ease. So if they can crush a nut shell, there is no doubt that they can crush your finger bones as well. This woman, according to her daughter, has already been hospitalized four times due to parrot bites. The first time would have been enough to tell me that keeping parrots is not for me! I'd have stuck with finches. They are smaller, don't need much room, don't need a heck of a lot of attention, eat less, dump less, are much easier to clean up after, and if they do bite you, they don't bite hard enough to break the skin. The hardest biting finch I ever had was an orange bishop weaver. It bit like a small wrench pinching me. They hold on tighter than other finches, but they still don't break the skin. Large parrots do break the skin, and can break your bones too. That's why I don't trust them. Smaller parrots, like budgies, grass keets, and lorikeets, are fine. I wouldn't mind them so much, but those big hookbills, like cockatoos, macaws and conures, I don't trust them at all! They may be pretty to look at, but I always hesitate to touch one. Even if I know the bird. I have a friend who has an African gray parrot, and it is a beautiful bird, and he plays with it, it takes crackers and brazil nuts from his mouth, and is a generally friendly bird. He would let me pet the bird, but I never want to. Looking at it is one thing. Touching it is something I would never do!

I thought it was stupid of that woman to give her finches up! Those were the ones I would have kept. I would have got rid of the large hookbills! They are a bear to clean up after! She had crap caked on the bottoms of those parrot cages. Parrots attract rats to your house too, because of the food they eat, pretty much the same things rats like eating. Parrots are noisy, require a lot of attention, generally are expensive to care for. They are basically like monkeys as pets. Why they are still legal to keep and monkeys are not, I will never understand! Parrots do have a plus side. They can become affectionate. But the way I don't trust them, they would go insane at my home. I might talk to them, but I would never make any physical contact with them. That's why I don't have any large hookbills, and I have no plans to get one in the near to forseeable future. Possibly never ever will get one. They need contact with humans. I like finches. Maybe you cannot really handle them, though I have heard of some people who have held them, like others held parakeets. But finches are beautiful, make cute little sounds, and are fun to watch flying around in their cages. I still have plans to get some finches. I love them!

I have never been in a hoarding situation before myself. The closest I ever came was I once had 9 dogs at one time. But I was able to care for them easily. I was younger then though. Now, I know my limits. I only have 3 dogs. While I would like to have more, I know I can't. 3 is my absolute limit with dogs now. Though I would not mind having other pets too. I plan on getting some small birds. mostly finches and smaller softbills. I'd also like to have a fish tank again. And I'd also like to have more snakes, lizards and other herps. It'd be cool! Someday I would also like to have some small exotic animals. I'd like to get some spiny mice again, like I had before. But I would never get myself in a situation where I am hoarding animals. Because I am totally aware of where my limit in animals stands.

Beavis and Butthead Are Returning!

YES!!! I was looking through the internet and I found some good news. Beavis and Butthead are coming back to MTV!! I am so excited to hear that. Now, Katrina and I can start discussing the new episodes again. I kinda hope they also run some of the classic episodes at the same time as well. The new episodes are due to come out this summer. I have MTV, so I need to stay tuned and find out when and what days. I first saw the show when it came out in 1993, and it was fun then! I remember though at first I was a bit apprehensive about seeing this show. I heard some bad things about it, and I was afraid it was going to be another crappy-suck cartoon like Ren and Stimpy! But I got curious one night. The very first episode I ever saw was one titled Buff N' Stuff, and it made me laugh so hard, especially when Butthead mentioned Popeye, which he mentioned twice on that episode! I love Popeye! So from then on I was hooked on Beavis and Butthead. I take great pains in trying to find some of the classic episodes today, WITH the video commentaries intact! They are basically worthless without them! I managed to find some on YouTube with the music videos intact. But most people take the videos out, which I think is DUMB! That's the way Beavis and Butthead were meant to be seen, is with video commentaries. In some episodes, the video commentaries are the funniest part of the whole episode! The episode it's self may be boring, there are a few like that. Then you get into the parts where Beavis and Butthead are sitting in front of the TV and speaking their minds on what they see in the videos, and you laugh out loud!!! In those boring episodes, that may be the ONLY time you might laugh.

I am right now trying to turn some CD-ROMs I got with Beavis and Butthead episodes on them (SOME have videos intact) and switch them over to DVDs. It's taking all day, but the end result will be worth it. I also have some on VCD, which I am trying to get rid of. It's not easy. I got the Mike Judge Collection, but I hardly ever watch it! I spent over $100 for that collection, and the episodes do not even have the video commentaries intact!! Makes me MAD!! They have some videos, shown separately from the episodes, but that isn't worth shit! I want ALL episodes, with ALL videos intact! That's how the show was meant to be seen. And the only way it should be seen! And I am not the only one who feels that way.

Well, apparently these new episodes that will be coming out have video commentaries, so I said I will watch them. What I hope is that Mike Judge does NOT have too many episodes where Beavis wants to act out as that Cornpolio character! Or Cornholio or whatever the Hell he calls himself! I HATE those episodes!! Those are episodes that I would never care to see again! I don't think this Cornpolio act Beavis puts on is funny at all. It's just plain corn-stupido. I realize Beavis and Butthead are supposed to be stupid, but my GOD!! Get rid of the Cornpolio act!! That goes way beyond stupid, corny and boring!! All Beavis does during his Cornpolio act is give his head a wedgie, raise his arms up, and says the same shit "I AM CORNPOLIO!" and "I NEED TP FOR MY BUNGHOLE" and constantly over and over and over again talking about his butthole in the same manner. It gets boring hearing the same thing over again on the same show! That was the one thing I hated about their movie Beavis and Butthead Do America, was Beavis putting on that act and singing "BUNGHOLIOOOOOOOOOOO-OOOOO-OOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!" That scene lasted way too long! If it wasn't for Robert Stack's contribution to that scene, I would skip through it to the end of the movie. I hope there won't be too much of that in these new episodes. But I am glad they are bringing back video commentaries!

The last time Beavis and Butthead ran, which I think was either last year or the year before, I noticed they had 4 episodes in a 30-minute period. I knew what that meant, it meant they cut out the video commentaries! It was only then that MTV decided they were going to run the really classic episodes! Such as Washing the Dog, and Citizen Butthead! Both of which I would like to see again WITH video commentaries intact. That is why I am hoping MTV also runs some of the classics, the way they were MEANT to be seen; WITH video commentaries!

Am I Alone?

Is it just me or is Heath Ledger one UGLY dude???? He looks a lot like Leonardo DiCaprio, only with his eyes grown much closer together. There are people out there who actually think Heath Ledger was "hot", and I look at him and think to myself "What about him is hot?" I look and I see nothing. He may have had a great figure, but it's ruined by his hiddeous face! And up until I saw him, I used to think all Australians were good looking. He proved different. Everyone liked his version of the Joker better than Jack Nicholson's. I have to say, Jack Nicholson was by far the better version of the Joker! Heath Ledger's looked too fake. And he wasn't the "think he's funny" type at all. He was more serious. I saw the Dark Knight, finally, and frankly I didn't care for Ledger's version of the Joker. It might have been better if he had better make-up like Nicholson did. But all Ledger had for a smile was red lipstick. I would think with today's better technology they would give him a bigger smile like they gave to Jack Nicholson. Would have made Ledger's Joker more believable. But I will hand him this, he did seem to have talent. And it is kinda sad he's dead at such a young age.

I wonder why it is the ugliest people are the most talented? I thought I was alone in that department. I mean, I may be ugly, but I have great talent in a lot of things. Anything I can put my mind to do, I can do it. Maybe not perfect at first, but I can get a good lead going. Heath Ledger was ugly as shit, but he was a talented dude. I don't blame him because his make up sucked. But I just don't see him as the "better version of the Joker". Certainly NOT better than Jack Nicholson was. Then there is Jon Stevens, a guy who used to sing with INXS. He's ugly and fuggly and anything in between! I personally don't even think he had any talent. But other INXS fans do. I see a lot of INXS fans have had their pic taken with him. To see Jon Stevens is a shock to my system! Makes me cringe in disgust! That's how ugly he is to me. Remember Barney Rubble on the Flintstones? Jon Stevens looks just like him, only with longer hair. His head starts at a point and then gets very wide at the chin, he has no neck, and he's got them beady, close-together eyes. He's what I call UGLY!! But every other INXS fan thinks he's wonderful. I couldn't have stood next to him though to have my pic taken. I'd have been afraid he'd have broke my camera lens. And I heard his ego being so almighty was the reason he is no longer singing with INXS.

Speaking of big egos, there was this person on the pet forum, who calls herself SavannaCat, and she gave me the best laugh the other night. Not with her, but at her. Apparently she was pissed off at Animal Planet because she tried out for a part in the series "Confessions: Animal Hoarding" and didn't get the part! LOL!! She made me laugh so hard with the way she got all ballistic and threw a little hissy-fit on the forum, whining "Oh they lied to me!" and yadda-yadda! She was like a spoiled 10-year old, claiming that Animal Planet owed her some kind of restitution! I don't think Animal Planet asked her to apply for their show, it was strictly voluntary. And it still is! So really she had no reason to get so angry. But anyway, that was my entertainment for that night, watching her go ballistic on a forum like that. It was too funny! Next thing I know, she's attacking the people on the forum because she didn't get chosen to be on that show! LOL! The more I read about her (after she told her whole lifes' story to the forum), the more I realized why she was acting this way. She really is spoiled. She said herself she doesn't hide the fact that she is. She's probably had everything in life handed to her, never working a day in her life. Oh well, let's be fair! She probably did have to work hard to get those tears, screams and whimpers going as a young child, to get that favorite doll or kitten she wanted. But that was probably the only work she did! She apparently owns 9 homes, breeds savanna cats (which I think look hiddeous), attends shows (another lanky show breeder), and rescues cats. More likely she probably breeds savanna cats to make money off them. I do know one of those cats runs about $20,000 (NOT worth it, IMO) and they are not recognized by any major cat registry so they cannot be shown.

I think paying $20,000 for ANY cat is stupid! Not when you can get a great purebreed cat for about $1000. I've seen siamese for about $1500, and they looked GREAT!!! I would NEVER pay $20,000 for a cat that I think is too ugly to live anyway. For all I care, that $20,000 cat can rot at the breeder's house! It's crazy to pay that much for a cat! And savanna cats can turn on their owners too. So, is it worth $20,000 to have something like that in your house that can attack you on a dime? I don't think so! That's why I think paying that much, for an UGLY cat, is dumb, stupid and senseless! Take $50 and rescue a nice kitty from a shelter, or if you want it, take $1500 and buy a good siamese from a good breeder! That's what I'd do!

There Are Some People Out There

Well, I've become a bit of a regular on the Craigslist forum. LOL! Not just the pet section, but the pet section is the one I think most about. Even though some of the people can get downright nasty. I think they've taken to ignoring me there though. Which I am absolutely fine with! I still continue to talk! I haven't got pissed at anyone yet, but I must say, there are some people on that forum I would just love to meet in person! Mostly for the reason that I would love to follow them through a day walking on the streets and see if they get as cocky with people there as they do with people on the forum. Then when they do get cocky with the average person on the street, I'd like to see what happens to them. Do they get ignored? Or do they get a lot of people punching them in the face?

Some of the people on that forum I would love to follow around just to see if this happens to them are of course gsdlady, LuvsMyChis, ColliesRock and BobbyTheClown. BobbyTheClown is a special kind of troll. He gets pleasure out of trolling. I believe he very carefully plans his posts. He has a pit bull, yet he hates them so much. He said they should all be destroyed. He even readily admits he cannot wait for his pit bull to die. In terms of his personality though, he reminds me a lot of Devil Doll in the old INXS forums. That is, everyone on the Craigslist pet forum has a sort of love-hate relationship with him. You either love him or you hate him. Every forum has one like that. They just jabber on, they don't care if they are loved or hated, or even listened to. They just talk. And they never get ballistic. For the INXS forums, it was Devil Doll. If Pluba had one like that, I don't remember who it was. Henny I think. On Craigslist, it's BobbyTheClown.

ColliesRock is one I haven't told you all about yet. She's HORRIBLE!! She is the most negative person on that forum, even worse than gsdlady! In fact, she makes gsdlady look like a saint! In the time I have been in that forum, either as a lurker or a participant, ColliesRock has done nothing positive for anyone. She reminds me of a PETA freak gone mad! She thinks the worst of everyone no matter what. And she never posts unless it is to bitch about something. I'd like to meet her though. She once said herself on that forum that good manners are for people who try to hide the truth. I want to see ColliesRock unarmed, and put in the center of a badass motorcycle gang, and see if her opinion of having good manners still holds up.

Well, gsdlady and LuvsMyChis I would like to meet for obvious reasons. I'd like to see if they are as cocky in peoples' faces as they are at people on the forum. It's so easy to be so brave on a forum. But when you are out on the street, being that cocky can be a whole different story. I would be shocked if they were like that in person.

I was reminiscing about Rio B. who is a reputable show chihuahua breeder here in WA state. She was a total jerk online and even over the phone! But face to face, she was a different person. She was actually kinda nice to my face. Not that I was that much fooled by it, especially after I got to know her online personality. Just makes me wonder, is it the internet that makes people have the ideas and personalities they really have? Or is it a release for their innermost feelings? Or is it that people just feel more brave talking from behind a computer screen? I try to always treat people the way I myself would like to be treated. I try to. But even when I can't, I never say anything, not even on these blogs, that I would not say to someone's face. In fact, I always invite everyone to this blog to read! Especially if I write about them. That gives them a chance to respond if they want to. If they don't want to, then it is no skin off my nose. That is fine with me too.

Timmyfan vs. Craigslist Pet Forum

Well this has been an interesting day! I got in on the Craigslist pet forums. If there was ever a place I would think there would be no, or at least fewer, judgmental people, it would be on Craigslist! Craigslist it’s self has a pretty bad reputation. Though I know it’s only because irresponsible people use it. Well, as with all pet forums that I have been on, any thread about breeding automatically warrants the wackjobs to come out and immediately start bashing the poster. I think people should be allowed to ask something without the threat of getting bashed or judged harshly, so when someone comes in and asks for anything, if I can answer, I generally do. It may not be what others want to hear, but it’s in my nature now to be kind.

So, when I got home from church, I was browsing that forum. And there was a poster who called herself ParkerIRL, a newbie, and this is what she asked on the forum:

Aussie breeding question?

My Australian Shepherd Parker is really a fantastic dog. :) He's a working dog, and has fantastic drive. He loves me and is quite protective of me, and he's great with the new baby.

Now a woman that lives a few miles down the street haws an equally awesome female with fantastic drive. She approached me one day while Parker and I were out and about, and brought up the idea of breeding Parker and Bee to create the best working pups ever. This seems like a good idea, since she offered me a puppy AND a stud fee. I'm not concerned with the money, but having a puppy like Parker would be fantastic.

I do have a question, though, since I can't get ahold of her.
Is it guaranteed to have a litter of high-drive Aussie pups if both parents are active workers with great drive?
She has homes lined up for at least 10 puppies, since both of us would be taking one.

Thank you!

Another poster, named BeauChien, was the first to respond, and his post was about the nicest of the posts on this thread, besides mine.

You don't know pedigrees well enough

You have to know the bloodlines and the health of the dogs as well, you need some health testing on both dogs. I would get a copy of both peds and ask experienced Aussie breeders for input FIRST

Then there is the common types on pet forums, the type that start off picking at the posters and sounding hostile toward them. People like gsdlady:

Nothing is guaranteed.....except that

if you do this, you will be become another Back Yard Breeder. Neuter your dog, please.

Obviously the show-breeder type. She chimed in all over the thread about titles and health testing and shit. While I do agree with health-testing and genetic testing, I don’t see the point in titles. It’s all a big game to me! I know show dogs usually look better, but it’s still nothing more than for attention-seeking snobs, for the most part. Though I know not all show breeders have a sucky attitude, I would bet anyone my bottom dollar that gsdlady fits that description of the snobby show breeder type. Last night, I even remember seeing her poking fun at, and mocking, someone else on the forum that had a mental disability! She’s not the kind of person I want anywhere near me, because I would tend to want to punch her in the face if she makes fun of disabled people around me. But that’s the kind of deplorable person gsdlady is! A dumb-ass and a half! She’s a troll, but a different kind of internet troll. The kind that stays on a forum, and is accepted by all others. Makes me sick!

Anyway, this was my response to ParkerIRL:

I would say

if both parents have a good drive to work, chances are pretty darn good that the pups will have this same drive. At least about 80% of them will. Every pup though will have it's own personality, and you may get one that will be a laid-back "couch potato" (as Aussies go). Anyway, that was my experience when I had aussies. But you should still have both parents health tested. An aussie isn't worth anything if it has HD. Just saying. Good luck to you, and hope Parker turns out some nice pups! :)

You know I was just stating my opinion. I have bred Australian shepherds before. It was a project I did with a former boyfriend, but I did it with him for close to 10 years. Well, from 1992 to 1999. Though we split up in 1995, we remained friends and I continued to help him out. He didn’t breed them with the intent to show. He bred them as farm workers, which is what Australian shepherds were originally bred for. He takes part in no agility trials, nor obedience trials. Again, it’s basically all just a game! As long as he does the necessary tests on his dogs, I am fine with that. I gave an opinion based on my own experience. But then maybe it wasn’t genetic. I kept the pups until they were 12 weeks old, so perhaps a lot of what my pups had was more nurture than nature. But there were some pups who were lazier than others anyway, and they had just as much time with their mom.

Well, then someone who calls themselves “LuvsMyChis” came in and stated about me:

IGNORE THIS TROLL ^^^^^ §

So, Rorix09 asked LuvsMyChis:

seemed like an honest opinion..how that trolling §

I agreed with him. Everyone on that forum thinks if you don’t agree with their way of thinking, you are a troll. But the real trolls, like gsdlady, get excused, even though she mocks people who cannot help the way they are. And then another poster named Moss comes in with his warped wisdom:

Because it

appears a careless attempt at thumbing his/her nose at the actually knowledgeable people around here :).

True, I hate show breeders and know-it-alls. But I have just as many rights to post there as these people do. Then LuvsMyChis continues with this argument:

Because look at his handle history

All he does is incite arguments. He knows NOTHING about this subject.

I’d like LuvsMyChis to show me ONE thread where I have intentionally incited an argument. She cannot because I haven’t. I try to be nice to everyone. I prefer not to get all ballistic on forums, I usually like to let the other posters do that. I like to maintain a graceful and dignified nature.

Well, another poster named “1cat1dog” challenged LuvsMyChis:

I see no such thing in the HH §

I thank her for that post, because it seems that LuvsMyChis is pulling threads out of the sky or something. Surprised to see this kind of behavior from another chi lover! But then that’s showbreederism. It’s a disease. Hehe! It’s one that alters your brain. They’re born nice and friendly. But then something happens to them when they get that first show dog, start showing and start breeding.

Well, I like BeauChien, he seems to tell it like it is. He says to LuvsMyChis:

Knowing nothing doesn't mean he can't post here

There's no disclaimer on this page "ONLY THOSE WHO KNOW WHAT THE HELL THEY'RE TALKING ABOUT MAY POST" It's Craigslist. Not a troll, get off it

Apparently LuvsMyChis thinks it’s LuvsMyChis’list. So she snaps at BeauChien:

Well thank goodness youre defending

his comment to produce BYB dogs. Neat.

It was at this point I thought I should set this person straight. Actually I had scrolled down and was engrossed in other threads than this one. Once I refreshed, I noticed all the posts responding to my post. I said to LuvsMyChis:

I just don't believe

in alienating people the way you do. What purpose does that serve? The more hostile you are to people the more likely they will be to shut their eyes and ears to you. You are the reason I hate show breeders so much. So please, if you hate my posts so much, get lost. And don't ever read my posts again. Believe me; you are not hurting my feelings. :) Thank you.

I believe in “education, not alienation”. And I was giving the person who began this thread an idea of what could happen if she bred her dog to another dog, with a high herding drive. And it was based on my own experience. So Moss jumps back in and stated to me:

But you were not educating in this situation.

Your response was anything but that.

I do agree that sharing knowledge (if one has it) is often the better route.

I still believe my response was spot-on! Maybe Moss has had different experiences, that he can share. But what I posted was my own experience, and I was sharing without alienating the poster. So gsdlady comes back into the picture:

I guess you've never seen a litter of HD

puppies from OFA'd parents, heh? There are NO guarantees....it is a crap shoot, truth be told. We, as humans, try to educate ourselves as much as possible to move the percentages in our favor, but NOTHING is for sure when breeding. Too tell a novice that they will get 80% ANYTHING is terribly irresponsible and blatantly shows your lack of experience.

I decided to give gsdlady an example I’ve seen on television recently, about a group of students who bred some laboratory rats. I thought it was a good example that sometimes characteristics are inherited:

A few weeks ago

I saw a documentary about a group who took some labratory rats, some had good temperaments and were very sweet and tame, some had more flighty temperaments. The students bred the gentler, more tame rats together and created rats that had puppy dog temperaments. While the more high-strung rats had babies that, even with just as much socialization as the tamer rats, still had a very wild temperament. That will explain the temperament issue. I would say the same holds true for dogs. One dog with a high herding drive, bred with another is much more likely to produce pups with a good herding drive.

"I guess you've never seen a litter of HD puppies from OFA'd parents, heh?"

Depends on what the OFA results were. If they were clear on all tests, the pups should be fine. Shouldn't they? :)

So gsdlady chimes back in:

Exactly...

But they did this with MULTIPLE generations! The OP doesn't have a clue about the temperaments of the siblings or grand parents....probably not even the parents of both the sire and dam of this future litter.

I know about the phenotype issues with breeding a litter. I am not blind to that. What I gave the poster was just an estimate. So I stated:

"But they did this with MULTIPLE generations!"

And I never said they didn't. :)

Smart-ass! But that’s a show breeder for you! They put words in other peoples’ mouths! Seems to be a common practice among those unfortunate people with showbreederism. Nothing to do but feel sorry for them. So here it comes, one of the symptoms of this disease, childish ranting, demonstrated here by gsdlady:

So what does that have to do with the OP?

This is a completely unknown, blind, outcross breeding. You have no idea what these dogs are going to produce and I still think your 80% number was pulled out of your ass. Why encourage a potential BYBer by quoting made up stats?

Total-ass jerk! I guess she’s never heard of something called a “ballpark figure”, which is what I was giving the OP (original poster). She hangs on to that “80%” as if it’s some kind of lifeline for her. She’s beginning to sound like the dumbasses on YouTube. Yet, I tend to still want to maintain my calm position. I counterattack her comment with a completely cool, reasonable debate:

:P

"I still think your 80% number was pulled out of your ass."

Think whatever you like, it doesn't matter to me. I base my opinions on my own personal experiences. Not what you read in books or magazine articles, or whatever it is you read from. :) In a litter I had of 7 puppies, from parents who both had a good herding instinct, only 2 came out couch-potatoes.

That should have explained it. I admit I gave one example of a litter that turned out that way, but I did not feel the need to run down my entire life’s history with gsdlady. She is simply not that important to me. And later on, I would tell her so. So just then, LuvsMyChis comes back! I thought I gave her the option to ignore my posts, but she just keeps coming back for more. She said about my example:

So that one litter makes you the expert?

wow. You sound more ignorant the more you post

And yet another symptom of showbreederism, they think they are the funniest people on the planet. They’re not. They’re actually nothing but crotchety dumbasses. And this post of gsdlady’s proves it:

Like I always say....just give 'em a little rope

They'll hang themselves. LOL!!!

I swear, I could use gsdlady in a dictionary to describe snotty show breeders! People like her is the reason I hate them so much. Yet, they think they are doing all good. But I just want to slap them sometimes, as hard as I can! Perhaps harder. So I respond to LuvsMyChis:

Hmmm, I thought you were

not going to read my posts anymore. Oh well. hehe! :)
"So that one litter makes you the expert?"
Who said I only bred one litter?

Gsdlady was not through yet. Again, she thinks she’s the funniest person on the planet, when she couldn’t be more wrong. She needs to get laid I think! She retorts in childish tones:

Oh SUPER!!!

You're basing your stats on ONE litter? I'm sorry I didn't realize what an expert you were....what was I thinking?

I said to her again, who said I bred only one litter? In fact, I bred several. Not a dozen, but quite a few. But again, I believe this was some kind of attempt by gsdlady to get me to tell her my whole life’s story, and I am not going to do it! But I stayed silent for a while longer. I wanted to see how far she would take this.

So the symptoms of Showbreederism are apparent here in this post by LuvsMyChis, where she is putting her own words in my mouth. One of the biggest and worst symptoms of the disease:

So youre a byb encouraging a potential byb

And youre the one who quopted the statistics of that ONE LITTER as the AUTHORITATIVE measurment by which ALL litters should be judged.

And I’d like to know where I said ALL litters should be judged by that. If she had read my post correctly, she would know that I said “ABOUT 80% OF A LITTER” Key word is “about”, in this case, meaning the same as saying “approximately”. It’s a guess. Meant to be taken as nothing more than such. But like gsdlady, LuvsMyChis hangs on to that like some kind of desperate salvation.

Well, since I like doing things the old fashioned way, and not get caught up in shows or agility trials or any of that BS, I thought I should inform this person:

I believe in doing things

the old fashioned way. I was brought up on a farm, that's my beliefs. Sorry if you don't like it.

Again, that’s what aussies were bred for. Most people who get any dog do not care if the dog has champion titles or anything. A dog can be just as good a pet without any titled parents or grandparents in it’s background. And a title does not guarantee the dog will have a good temperament or be good at herding sheep or goats.

So anyway, LuvsMyChis comes back again:

Excellent. Raised on a farm therefore makes

you an expert. NOT!! At least we all(including OP) can now know that you were talking completely out of your ass

At this time, I am still maintaining my cool. I haven’t even called her or gsdlady names. I’ve been letting them run off with that. Doesn’t mean I didn’t want to choke this person, just means I have kept my calm on a forum, and that is what my goal was here. So gsdlady gripes about the fact that my example spoke of only one litter:

What difference does it make?

You are using one litter as your example. One litter means nothing, absolutely nothing.

So finally, I decide to ask her what her angle is. I know she wants to hear my life’s history, and if she was someone I know, or whose opinion I value, I would gladly have given it to her. But she’s not. So I tell her:

What do you want?

For me to run down the line of all the litters I've had and known that have turned out the same way? If that's really what you want I will give it to you. I'd have to go back 16 years to find all the paperwork though, call all those people who bought pups from me, hope that they aren't at work or something (they do work in the winter months), contact their vets and all that to get the proof you want. And honestly and quite frankly, if I was going to go to all that trouble, it'd be for someone I consider WAY more important in my life than you or LuvsMyChis (Who I will bet you does not even have a chi). :) So sorry if you don't believe what I say, but that's your prerogative.

OK, so I decided to take a little tug at LuvMyChis’ leash! LOL! I didn’t really think she didn’t have a Chihuahua, I was playing a bit of tit-for-tat to teach her a lesson in manners. As for my last sentence, basically I was telling gsdlady that I don’t give two shits what she thinks, and that’s true. She has her views and I have mine. And she’s not going to change me. So she sings me a song-and-dance number:

If you truly cared about this subject,

you'd have records you could pull out. Kind of like when I'm doing research on a particular bloodline and OFA every puppy in the litter. I guess the old fashioned, farm mentality can't wrap their head around that.

I’m pretty sure that last sentence was said with a lot of disparagement. Kindof like she is saying all farmers are stupid. Another symptom of Showbreederism. I always felt what is said between myself and my clients is sacred, and I never reveal any information to the average Joe Blow on a forum for that reason. Gsdlady has given me no good reason to show her any information about dogs I have or dogs I have bred. Except that it might change her personal opinion of me. I am not there to change anyone’s views of me. Gsdlady can think what she wants about me, and continue to do so. I don’t care. My life does not revolve around what she, or any other person stricken with Showbreederism, thinks of me. I try being nice to everyone, but when some dumb show breeder like this gets in my face and tries to pull me down to their level, I’m not gonna give! So, I stated to gsdlady:

Then maybe

I just don't care what you think. Sorry. I don't even breed anymore (in case you missed that post), the 3 dogs I have now are all spayed/neutered. Like I said, I could pull out those records, but I'm not going to. Not for you. If you were a former client of mine, I would gladly do so. But you aren't. You've formed your opinion of me, and that is fine. I can move on from there. :)

So anyway, back to LuvsMyChis, from when I stated I didn’t believe she had a Chihuahua:

Oh yes genius... I have 2 chis

wow you really are a moron

Childish name-calling, another symptom of Showbreederism! LOL! And you will notice I never once called her any names. Guess the Timmy fans and us “dumb farmers” are better than show breeders after all. Hehehe! But I continued to toy with her a bit more:

I doubt it

Thank you :)

She gives me the kind of response I had hoped to see come from her, she asks me (name calling included):

Why would u doubt what I have

other than the obvious fact, that you are a troll looking to start SHIT. Its my handle name that i chose for an obvious reason: I have chis. Like its soooo hard to believe? They are among the most popular breed in the country idiot. Mine were adopted from the HS where I volunteer 2 times a week to helpo all the BYB dogs that people like you have created. You really are a sad little person with no life aren't you??

I was hoping she would ask me that! This was my response to her:

So....

How does it feel when someone judges you and doesn't believe you? I am not a troll. At least not in the manner you are thinking. I try to be nice to everyone. Even you, though you have lashed out at me, called me names and judged me, yet you know nothing about me. And BTW, I too have chis. Vegas and Odessa (both are FIXED). I know how popular they are. I never claimed to be an expert on chihuahuas (or Aussies for that matter). YOU said I claimed to be an expert. I was just giving someone an idea of what *could* happen, based on my own experience. Open their minds to all possibilities.

Honestly, I didn’t give a shit what LuvsMyChis thinks of me either. I just didn’t want everyone believing what she said about me. What if someone I know and like is on that forum? And they happened to believe that LuvsMyChis knows even the slightest thing about me? Even though she doesn’t, what if they believed her? She seems to be the one who just cannot let go of the fact I gave the original poster an estimate on the temperament of the pups. Just because it’s not based on published reports, does not mean that I didn’t experience it. But sadly, the final symptom of Showbreederism, they never believe anything unless they can see it with their own eyes. That is so unfortunate. If you share a personal experience with anyone, you risk being ridiculed by the show breeders, just because they were not there to see it for themselves. It is apparent in this comment made by LuvsMyChis:

"At least 80% of them WILL" sounds like you

are the one claiming to be an expert. I quote you here:

"if both parents have a good drive to work, chances are pretty darn good that the pups will have this same drive. At least about 80% of them will."

You are the one claiming knowledge you don't have, trying to argue the point throughout the thread tho you were outed as a bullshitter very eaqrly on, and in general just being argumentative.
And then you signed off with a sweet little "good luck BYBing!" **GAGGING

She was confused, so I set her straight:

OK, Here's what I said

"At least about 80% of them will".

I said "At least *ABOUT 80%*". Meaning it could be more or less. If I said it in the way you thought I did, then I can see your point.

"in general just being argumentative."
No, I was not argumentative. I was stating an opinion. That is all. If you had taken it for what it was worth, we would not be in this confrontation now. Sorry, but you were the one who started off being argumentative with me, by telling the poster "IGNORE this TROLL!!" when you knew nothing of my situation. Thank you anyways for your opinion. Hope we can meet again on friendlier terms. From one chi-lover to another, Thank you. :)

Sure, I was being argumentative. I was not the one who called you names and judged you harshly. But my last sentence was indeed sincere. Like I said before, I never wish ill on anyone. So then LuvsMyChis finally gets a clue how she appeared to me. Wow! That’s unusual for a show breeder. But she seems to not be able to temper it without harsh judgment.

I did start snarkiness, I was just so shocked

to see that you would so clearly encourage a potential BYBer to begin BYBing. As everyone else was using LOGIC and FACTS to support their resounding "NO! NO! Don't breed!", you chime in with "GO ahead, it'll be 80% awesome!" then have defended it with unfounded ridiculous statements. I apologize for calling you a troll. The correct term is uneducated hobby farm BYBer who attempts to speak knowledge that you don't have in order to encourage other BYBers. Is that more accurate for you?

I think I was helping someone who wanted to breed her dog for the possible purpose of farm work. There are good ways to do it. And I don’t believe you can make anyone see your way by being snarky or cruel. I was never that way! I just tell someone how to go about breeding the proper way, and then let them take it from there. Sure I have been accused of being cruel, but it was generally by people whose egos got in the way of them learning. So, I respond to her last question and comment:

Well, let's look

"The correct term is uneducated hobby farm BYBer who attempts to speak knowledge that you don't have in order to encourage other BYBers. Is that more accurate for you?"
"hobby farm BYBer"

I guess it depends on how you look at it. I did show chihuahuas a couple times. Or I tried to. So at least when I was working on them, I made some attempt in conformation competitions. I did grow up on a small farm, so I'd say yes to "hobby farmer".

My idea of what a BYBer is is someone who does no health testing, and sells the pups for profit. Since I did do tests on their thyroids and patellas, etc, and yes I sold some pups, but made no profit whatsoever, not sure if I qualify as a true BYBer. And in the 7 years I did chihuahuas, I only bred 3 litters, only 1 of which was from a not-so-good female, but I still kept in contact with those who got pups from me, and even offered a "reward" for those who spayed/neutered their pups to prevent them from breeding. This last litter, only had one pup, and I kept him (Vegas) because that was my intent all along. And I even neutered him. He could have been shown, I had a mentor evaluate him and said he was good enough, but I decided I no longer wanted to go that route (due to complicated issues), so I neutered him and said so long to the show ring.
Now, uneducated I think that's a different matter. A matter of your own opinion. Just because I don't believe in alienating newbies does not mean I am uneducated. I think instead of alienating people we should just tell them what it takes to breed, and then let them decide for themselves if they want to go through it. Like I said, Aussies and other herding breeds have been being bred by small hobby farm BYBer's for many years, no agility or obedience competitions were needed. Assuming this person is simply raising dogs for herding on a small town farming community, I answered her question, based on my own experience in Aussies (which I, and a former boyfriend, bred for 10 years). He's still breeding them, I'm not. I'm no longer with him. Though I keep in contact because he is also just my friend. And yes, he does the necessary testing. Like I said an Aussie with HD is useless in herding, and he breeds his for no other reason, but for herding sheep, goats, etc.

Sorry I got long winded there.

That’s the sign of a person with showbreederism, they call everyone they don’t agree with “uneducated”. Why I keep going in those forums is beyond me! I guess for the entertainment value. I mean, let’s face it, drama is entertaining! I haven’t really been a part of a forum in quite a while now. Since 2008. There are a few I do occasionally go into, but not often. I’m actually kinda glad this happened on this forum. Going into a pet forum and being able to keep your cool, that’s a test in and of it’s self! A lot of their responses consisted of a lot of mock-sarcasm (Katrina calls it “blowcasm”), so I generally prepare myself for that every time I go in there. I thank GOD I have friends I can talk to and visit when the actions on that forum get to be a bit much. But even with this incident, I haven’t experienced anything I cannot handle.

You're Delusional!

LOL! I have to laugh at this comment. So, what is delusional? That word seems to be resonating a lot throughout the INXS community now. I have been called "delusional" a lot. But the people using the word against other fans, do they even really know what that word means? Or are they just using it for the lulz? Like some kind of label against fans that have had good fortune in their lives. I know that there are fans who have met their favorite bands many times, and they are so selfish, they seem to get angry when someone meets the bands they know and love as well. Almost like they are being possessive of that band, and they don't want anyone else to know that band except themselves. Which I think is weird. I don't know if that is classified as being delusional, but it is certainly strange behavior, and I see it a lot in INXS fans who have met the band members many times, especially those who have met Michael. I met the guys several times, and even had a chance to kiss Michael (sort-of). But I don't think I own INXS! I am usually happy for those who have met the band, as long as they have been respectful to the band members. Now, I know of someone who has met the band, not Michael, but the living members of INXS, and I would have been happier for her, but she can't meet them without kissing them in the mouth! YUK! And I think that's an invasion of their space! I wouldn't want to have any of my fans kiss me in the mouth without my permission! That is, IF I were one of the men of INXS. But that's what I mean about respecting them. Even when I "kissed" Michael, I didn't kiss him in the mouth! I didn't even kiss him directly. I kissed my hand and touched him with it. I didn't get in his face, I didn't appear in a threatening or belittling manner, he probably didn't even know I did it. When I touched him, it was on his arm, not his face.

The funny thing is, this person, who cannot meet INXS without kissing them in the mouth and invading their private space, has recruited a bunch of her friends together on a private forum, to make fun of me and other fans they think are delusional. I don't think they really even know the meaning of the word "delusional". Because if they did, they would see that their ringleader is far more delusional than I could ever be! I'm not the one who kissed the bandmembers of INXS in the mouth, gave them all colds (which endangered their tour), nor was I the one who wanted to take Jon away from his established girlfriend. That's not who I am. I think the only reason they established that forum was because I no longer liked their ringleader. But that was nothing new. I knew that friendship was not going to last! I knew that before we left LA together. I've been in enough failed friendships to be able to see the red flags, and there were far too many early warning signs in that one to be a coincidence. Only reason I stayed civil was because I wanted to get home. My friends and family were worried enough about me going to LA with a total stranger. Now, I wouldn't even consider it! But then I wanted to go so bad I let my guard down. I was younger, and yes, stupider then. LOL!

Why this kind of evil is going around in the INXS community now, I have no idea. INXS fans used to be the greatest to each other. That was back when the internet was still new, and we all met in chat rooms and got to know each other. Now that the internet is really big, and everybody has it, it seems we have all forgotten how to get along with each other. I was watching this news clip on YouTube where some trolls were e-mailing the families of deceased teenagers. Not only that but also creating Facebook pages to mock the teenagers who were literally bullied to death. It's sad! I see stuff like that and it makes me feel terrible! What has the World come to? I remember a long time ago, there was a website up that even made jokes about Michael Hutchence killing himself by hanging. I remember some of the jokes that were made on there, were something to the effect of "I heard Paula called Michael just before he died and asked if he was coming home that night. To which Michael answered 'No, I'm gonna hang around here for a while.'" And another that went "If Princess Di had the belt instead of Michael Hutchence, they'd both still be alive". Very VERY sick jokes, if you ask me! But that was the kind of shit written on that site. I don't think that site is even still up, but I remember leaving a very angry comment on that page, because I thought his humor was in very bad taste! I can't even call it humor! It was just in very bad taste. Made me angry to see the kind of things that person said.

And it's all gotten worse these days. But it is probably the lowest of the low when someone makes fun of another person's misfortune. It's a sad commentary to what the internet has made of people today. Very sad! I get on the internet a lot, and I have never made fun of anyone! I don't go around making a mockery of people who have killed themselves, or teens who die in car crashes. I could never do that!! I wouldn't even wish a bad car crash on my worst enemy! Heck, I never wish ill on anyone! Because the rules of karma are whatever you wish on others, comes back to you 3 times worse. So believe me when I say I wish well to everyone, and it isn't a front! I actually mean it when I wish someone well. A lot of people say it, and don't mean it. But I'm not like that! Whether I like the person or not, I am always sincere. I believe even if you say it, if you really don't mean it you can still feel the wrath of karma! It is because of all this that I truly believe the world is coming to an end very soon!

Most people will never know how connected they are to this world. Everything that happens, happens because of what we do and how we are. The fact that people are hurting each other in whatever way, and getting enjoyment out of it, I just know that the end is coming really soon. And by hurting each other, I don't mean people eating meat and all that. I mean people who get on the internet and think they're being cute by shit-talking someone else anonymously. That is actually now a felony. If you do it, you have to tell people who you are. Think I'm joking about that? No. Some states have not actually approved that law, but it is coming into effect. Pretty soon it will be accepted everywhere. Since everyone knows by now who I am, I have no worries! But I usually hide nothing. People can ask me anything, and I'll tell them. I can't guarantee they will get a correct answer though. hehe! I make some things up, but not a lot. Just some things that I think is nobody else's business but mine. :) Or some things that I don't want anyone else to know. We all have secrets. Most of us like to keep them that way. Mine are not really bad secrets, but little things that I want to keep to myself. Though a lot of times, I just don't even bring those subjects up on the internet! But especially on the internet, there's always going to be those immoral types that hide behind public information, and dig up whatever they can to find to use against someone else. Those people I always feel sorriest for. They have no lives, and are deeply contributing to this growing problem on the internet. Just because something is public information does not mean that it should be posted without that person's permission. I personally would never do anything like that. But then that's me.

I'm Dying!!

Oh boy, I caught my sis's cold, and she ran away to Bozeman! LOL! Well, I know eventually she will read this, all I hope is that she does good! MSU is one of the best universities in the country, so my guess is they set a very high standard with their students. I know Anna can make it. She's a hard worker and does very well with her studies. My prayers are with her. By now she and my father and nephew are probably going through the passes in Montana. If they got an early start that is. I hope Anna is enjoying herself. She loves going through the mountains and stuff like that. She and I have an agreement to once in a while meeting up in video chat. But I am not going to be able to do it this week. I'm dying!!

This is a bad cold I have, and I was going to use some of this time to go to the pottery shop here in town and get some of my little creations made. They are allowing me to use their equipment for only $5, which is awesome! But I can't go until I am over this cold. There are times when my nose and throat are so clogged, I can barely breathe. I'm sweating a lot, so I must have had a fever. I can barely walk now. I can't even eat. I cough almost until I puke. I think I am dying. hehe! Oh well, serves me right. I didn't catch a cold this bad last year, so I think it's trying to make up for it this year. It sucks! I have to keep taking showers, because first of all I hate the smell of sweat! Second, it keeps me warm. I still look like crap. I mean, even more than usual! I think I am also getting an ear infection. I noticed it last night. One of my ears is sensitive, and leaking. That sucks too. I haven't had an ear infection since 1984. It hurt like Hell, that's about all I can remember about it. This one is just getting started.

So that's why I think I'm dying. hehehe! Even in the midst of all that, I still try to be funny. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Usually it depends on who is listening.

I think I have become afraid of listening to INXS. hehehe! With this new album of their's, I don't know what to expect anymore. One of my old buddies on Facebook posted that she cannot stop listening to the new Devil Inside. I haven't heard it yet, but I looked on the site and I noticed that it is sung by that Nikka Costa chick. I will never forget how she murdered Kick, which is my old theme song. I didn't like how she sang that song at all! So I said after hearing that, I'm not sure I want to hear the new Devil Inside. Maybe I am happiest not knowing how it sounds. Probably sounds like shit, just like the new Kick. That may have been Timmy's favorite track on the new album, but that doesn't mean I have to love it. This old buddy said she can't help but bop to it. If it's anything like the new Kick, I don't know how she can bop to it!! There is no rhythm at all in the new Kick. I'm truly afraid to hear this song! I want to stay an INXS fan. Anyway, this old buddy was not amused! hehehe! Oh well! We can't all like the same things. I think Nikka Costa sucks tiger balls! I can't stand her! These other people can like her if they want to, that's their deal. I prefer good singers that rock!

Well I have to confess, writing that has gotten my mind off this cold. Though temporarily. I just cannot wait till it's over and done. How much longer do I have to wait? I've had it now for almost a week, and it's just now reaching it's peak. Well, I once had a cold that dragged on for 3 weeks! My sis had to stay at grandma's until it was over. Nothing to worry about now though, Anna's going to Bozeman! We said our last goodbyes to each other yesterday before she took off. She has my video camera, and I hope she takes really good care of it. I still have my webcam though. So as soon as I get better, I can make more movies. Maybe even some more critique videos. So far, there has only been 2 songs from this new INXS album that I like. I cannot say truly. I like Rob Thomas, but the song he sang on this new album it's not bad, but it's not great either. The only song I can say I truly loved was Drum Opera.
